UPHA Seeking Executive Assistant

LEXINGTON, KY (December 16, 2015) - The United Professional Horsemen's Association, Inc. is currently seeking to hire an Executive Assistant to the President. The UPHA is a non-profit organization, located on the grounds of the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Job Title: Executive Assistant to the President 

Reports To: The UPHA President and UPHA Executive Board of Directors. The Executive Assistant to the President will report to, and work closely with, the UPHA President as well as the UPHA Executive Board of Directors to advance the UPHA's vision and the Foundation's mission. 

Function: To serve as the Executive Assistant to the President of the UPHA, with other duties requested by the UPHA Executive Board of Directors. Responsible for the daily administration and management of all office duties, UPHA Programs and UPHA Membership Database. To implement the strategic goals and objectives of the UPHA, to develop and strengthen programs that will advance the industry, to educate, encourage, promote, and advance participation in equestrian activities. 

Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees UPHA Programs, membership database, technology, web site management, communications, media releases, accounts receivables/payables, record keeping and recording of meeting minutes. Assist with 

Education, promotion, marketing, coordination and planning of the UPHA Annual Convention, Board meetings, local and National special events. Develop and maintain good communication and a positive working relationship with UPHA members.

College degree with significant work and business experience in a managerial role along with strong people, communication, organizational and self-motivational skills required. Willing to relocate to Lexington, KY for a full-time position. Equine, promotional, accounting, marketing, MS Office, In Design, Excel, and QuickBooks skills are a plus. Travel is periodically required.
