UPHA Horse/Pony of the Year Awards Nominations Open

Nominations are now being accepted online for the United Professional Horsemen’s Association Horse/Pony of the Year Awards. These awards represent the ideal and epitome of the respective divisions.

Awards are offered for American Saddlebreds, Hackneys, Morgans, and Roadster Horses. To be eligible for nomination, an American Saddlebred, Roadster Horse or Hackney pony must participate in at least four (4) shows, entering the same class and division in which the horse/pony is to be nominated, during the same calendar year. Morgan horses must participate in at least three (3) shows, entering the same class and division during the calendar year.

Any current UPHA Professional, Associate, or Junior member can nominate any horse/pony! You do not have to be the owner or trainer of the horse/pony to nominate an eligible animal. Only one nomination form needs to be submitted for each horse/pony.

The nomination process will be strictly online to streamline the process. The online nomination form is live and ready to receive nominations at the link below and it is also located on the UPHA website. To complete the form, in addition to the horse/pony information you will need the UPHA membership number of the nominator, owner, and trainer. When you submit an online nomination you will receive an automatic email from Google Forms with a copy of your response. If you do not receive the automated email, first check your junk mail, then please email the UPHA office at [email protected] to confirm the nomination. Nominations must be received by November 1.

For complete award program requirements, a list of divisions and to nominate online visit the UPHA website HERE.

If you have any questions please contact the UPHA national office at 859-231-5070 or [email protected].
