UPHA Exceptional Challenge Cup Comes to Michigan



MASON, Mich. --- The UPHA Exceptional Challenge Cup class will be offered at the MHSA Medallion Horse Shows on June 23 and 24, 2007, at the Ingham County Fairgrounds in Mason, Michigan.  This class is designed specifically for mentally and/or physically disabled riders. 

 

In order to compete, riders must be 12 years of age or older, riding a mare or gelding of any breed.  Riders must use english equipment (saddle seat, hunt seat, or dressage) and be able to perform independently at a walk and trot, and demonstrate a serpentine pattern at the trot.

             

The top six riders will qualify to compete at the UPHA Exceptional Challenge Cup class at The American Royal in Kansas City, MO.

 

UPHA Chapter 20 and the Michigan Horse Show Association would like to invite all independent walk and trot riders that are mentally and/or physically disabled to participate in this class both days of the show.
