UPHA To Discuss Natural Uncut Tail Class
Thursday, December 22, 2005
In response to the industry-wide buzz created over the announcement by the board of the American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) that they had proposed a Two-Year-Old Natural Mane and Tail class be added to the schedule at the World’s Championship Horse Show in 2006, the board of the United Professional Horsemen’s Association (UPHA) has added a forum to discuss this proposal at the upcoming convention in St. Louis.
This year’s convention is January 5, 6, and 7 at the Sheraton St. Louis City Center. The forum for discussion of the ASHA’s proposal will be held on Thursday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m.
“We don’t think this should go through without discussion from both groups [ASHA and UPHA],” said UPHA President Randy Harper. “A few people on a board should not make a decision for the industry without the members’ input.”
