UPHA Classics Grand Championships; Qualification not required for 2020



It's not too late to nominate and be eligible for the UPHA Classics Grand Championships!

The United Professional Horsemen's Association is pleased to announce the UPHA Classic Grand Championships will once again be offered at the UPHA/American Royal National Championship Horse Show held in Kansas City, Missouri, November 9-14, 2020. Post entries are still being accepted.

The UPHA Classic Championships are offered for three-year-olds and under for American Saddlebreds and four-year-olds and under for the Hackney Pony divisions. The Roadster to Bike Classic Grand Championship is offered for horses that have not been shown prior to January 1, 2019. 

Guaranteed prize money in the UPHA Classic Grand Championships is $12,000 in all Saddlebred divisions, $5,000 in all Hackney Pony and Roadster divisions. Additional money is added from all entry fees collected for the UPHA Classic Grand Championships, each breeds eligibility fees and $50.00 from each stall rental to the purse of each Championship. Prize money will be given through eight placings. Winnings will be paid by UPHA to the horse owner; w-9 form is required.

To be eligible for the UPHA Classics Grand Championship:
• The horse must be nominated to the UPHA Classics program.
• The owner, exhibitor and trainer of the entry must be current members of UPHA.
•Qualification requirements have been eliminated for 2020 due to COVID-19.
•Separate entry fee is required prior to the class. This can be added to your account in the horse show office.
