UPHA Chapter 5 To Host Mid-Winter Horse Preview and Equine Seminar Weekend



Members of UPHA Chapter 5 will host a Horse Preview at Bob and Tonya Brison’s Fairview Farm, New Bloomfield, Missouri, on Friday, February 28 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Several trainers will exhibit young horses as well as horses offered for sale. You are invited to come out and get in a show horse state of mind while enjoying friends, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

On Saturday, the 29th, an Equine Seminar will take place at William Woods University with clinicians, including Kent Swalla, Missy Hughes Smith, Gayle Lampe, Jim and Fay Lowry, Bob and Tonya Brison, Mark and Kelly Hulse, and Phil Fountain. Topics will include Finding The Right Horse, The Dos and Don’ts of showing Hunt and Western, Everything You Need To Know About Showing and Training the Harness Horse, Equine Sports Medicine, Training The Gaited Horse, Perfecting Your Riding Lesson Business, and Park Trot, Collection and Curb Bits.

World’s champion trainer and instructor Mary Orr will serve as a guest clinician and will offer two sessions where you can bring your own horse (limited space) or a horse can be provided. Additionally, there will be Chapter 5 Awards, a Silent Auction and a Live Auction with lunch provided.
