Updates from Midwest Charity

Midwest Charity Horse Show President, Judy Kjellander, would like to announce that the Midwest Charity Horse Show entry deadline has been extended to May 12, 2013. The 2013 edition prize list is available on our Website at www.midwestcharity.com. Prize lists will be mailed shortly.

The Midwest Charity Horse Show will be held June 11-15, 2013, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, with daily show times of 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.  Four new classes will make their debut this year including ASB Park Pleasure Amateur qualifier and championship and ASB Park Pleasure Open qualifier and championship.

Midwest’s distinguished panel of judges includes Fran Crumpler, Simpsonville, KY; Nelson Green, Nicholasville, KY; and Ricky Harris, Somers, CT. Official Photographer is Doug Shiflet; and Official Videographer is Seehorse Video.

Midwest Charity will not disappoint in delighting and entertaining its exhibitors with their legendary nightly parties, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights, after the last class in the famous “Party Barn” decorated with Persian rugs, chandeliers, colorful tablecloths and flowers. Tuesday’s party will feature Susan Kerr’s famous homemade chicken salad and Honey Baked Ham. Wednesday’s party will be catered by Springfield’s own Poe’s Catering and will feature pulled pork. The parties culminate with Friday’s Italian party, sponsored by Steak ‘N Shake. Attendees of the Friday party can also feast on Steak ‘N Shake’s famous chili and dance the night away to a 50’s and 60’s themed band.

On Thursday evening Midwest Charity is pleased to have been chosen by UPHA Chapter 10 as the site for their fundraiser for the 2014 UPHA Convention in Chicago. They have great plans in the works including good food, entertainment and a live and silent auction.
