Tornadoes Touch Down Near Pro-Am Benefit Horse Show

The Pro-Am Benefit Horse Show, along with the USEF Saddle Seat Invitational, experienced severe weather since the start of the week. The show is held in Perry, Georgia at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, which happens to be right in the middle of the current storm system that the Southeast is experiencing. Today, tornadoes touched down in neighboring towns, and without hesitation the show management stepped into action to ensure the safety of everyone on the grounds. Around 1pm, everyone was gathered together in the main arena, which provided plenty of cover from the rain and lightning, and ensured that everyone was accounted for during the inclement weather. Fortunately, the tornadoes did not make it to the grounds, and after waiting out the thunderstorms, everyone safety returned to work to prepare for this evenings session.
