Tom Moore statue dedication

A life-sized statue of Tom Moore was dedicated Wednesday, August 10 in front of Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.

Tom Moore, a member of the World’s Championship Hall of Fame, trained and showed multiple World’s Grand Champions in all three divisions, five-gaited, three-gaited and fine harness.  Commonly referred to as “The Tall Man,” Moore trained World’s Grand Champions CHSultan’s Starina, CHYorktown, CHValley View Supreme, CHBellisima and many more.

The bronze tribute is by Douwe Blumberg, and is fully life-sized.  Moore's daughter, Melissa, of Versailles, Kentucky, a World's Championship horsewoman in her own right, spoke at the dedication, along with representatives of the United Professional Horsemen's Association, the American Saddlebred Horse Association, the Kentucky State Fair Board of Directors and the United States Equestrian Federation.
