Syracuse International Horse Show Update

The 33rd Syracuse International Horse Show, being held June 28 – July 1, is pleased to announce the addition of the following classes to its 2006 schedule:
Friesian English Pleasure and Park
Friesian English Pleasure and Park Championship
Friesian Show Driving
Friesian Show Driving Championship
Five-Gaited Junior Exhibitor
Five-Gaited Junior Exhibitor Championship
The addition of the Friesian classes now qualifies the Friesian division for an “A” rating by the United State Equestrian Federation (USEF). All other divisions have an “A” rating as well.
Although the deadline for entries is June 1, post entries are still being accepted.
Special classes include the ESHBA $500 Added Amateur Owner Sweepstakes in the Five-Gaited Pleasure Championship. The $1,500 ASR Grand National class has been designated as the Adult Country Pleasure Championship. The show is also pleased to offer two qualifying classes for the ASHA Junior Exhibitor Driving Challenge.
Among the special events planned are exhibitors’ parties each night; the annual Hallston Manor open house, this year with special guest Jim Aikman; and the first annual junior exhibitor art contest.
