Syracuse International Horse Show Set for June

The American Saddlebred Horse Association of New York would like to welcome all members to the 38th Annual Syracuse International Horse Show, set to take place beginning Friday, June 29 through Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the New York State Fairgrounds, in Syracuse.
The show will offer over $50,000 paid in prize money and trophies. Judges for the show will be Nancy Becker for Saddlebreds, National Show Horses, Equitation, Hackneys and Academy; and Nancy Troutman for Morgans, Saddlebreds, Morgan Equitation, Fresians, Road Horses and the Open Division.
This year’s Grand National class will be the $1,800 Saddlebred Three-Gaited Junior Exhibitor Stake. United Professional Horsemen’s Association Classic classes offered will be $500 Park Pleasure, $250 Three-Gaited, $250 Fine Harness and $250 Five-Gaited. Traditional events, such as the Silent Auction to benefit Upstate New York Hospice, as well as everyone’s favorite Friday night Chicken Barbeque, are on the agenda, plus a few new events this year.
