Superior Sales is pleased to announce the dates for the upcoming Fall Sale 2002 to be held December 6-7, 2002, at the Midway Exposition Center, Columbia, Missouri, featuring American Saddlebreds, Hackney horses and ponies, and Roadsters, as well as a complete tack and equipment sale.
Midway Exposition Center is conveniently located on Interstate 70 in Columbia, Missouri placing it halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City. As the site for several top horse shows in the Midwest, Midway Exposition Center offers the top quality atmosphere for which Superior Sales has become noted. It is a full-service facility for sale attendees with a restaurant, motel and fuel service on site.
Continuing the innovative sales promotion of previous events conducted by Superior Sales, sale entries will be sold in a showring type atmosphere against a decorative backdrop lined with white fencing with green shavings as footing giving those in attendance the ability to see each entry as it would appear at a premier horse show with a long straightaway and ample turns. Spectators may view the sale from ringside tables or elevated seating. An adjacent warm-up ring and complete food and beverage service add to the pleasant atmosphere of the sale.
Once again, a large number of vendors will be on hand in conjunction with The Fall Sale 2002 for the added convenience of both spectators and consignors. A wide variety of tack will be sold prior to the horse sessions. Superior Sales will continue to post its sales catalog and related sale information at www.horseshopper.net providing unprecedented exposure for consignors and their entries. The Fall Sale 2001 received over 150,000 hits at this site where consignment forms may be downloaded, entries made via the Internet, and the sales catalog viewed in full color as well as keeping up to date with any supplemental sale entries.
The consignment fee for the Fall Sale 2002 will be $250 which serves as the sales commission on any sale up to $2500 at which point the sales commission will be 10% of the final sale price. As an incentive to early consignors, the consignment fee for entries received in complete form with prepayment will be $150. To qualify for this discount all paperwork and payment must be received by October 1, 2002. The closing date for the sales catalog will be October 11, 2002 with sales catalogs mailed in mid-November.
Consignors and spectators will enjoy the experience of Superior Sales with the convenience of the facility. While in attendance, visitors may enjoy the surrounding mid-Missouri area which features an abundance of horse farms, great shopping, fine restaurants, nearby casinos and entertainment as well as the ease of transportation with Columbia Regional, St. Louis, and Kansas City airports and the convenience of Interstate 70.
