Southern Saddlebred Holiday Online Auction Accepting Entries

There are still a few spots remaining in the first-ever Online Auction for American Saddlebred horses, Roadsters and Hackneys.  Southern Saddlebred Sales has partnered with Addis Live Online Auctions to host the event on Tuesday, December 3rd at 8:00pm CST.

“Entries are rolling in,” said Jackie Hale, “and there are still a number of people working on gathering photos and videos to complete their entries.”   The sale is being promoted to the Saddlebred industry as well as to nearly 500,000 horse enthusiasts in the Arabian, Morgan, Friesian and Pleasure horse markets worldwide.

“The Arabian Horse Industry has used this auction method for years with great success,” stated Shawn Stachowski.  “It connects sellers with great buyers for their horses. It eliminates costly transport for sellers (similar to private sales), gives buyers a lot of time to decide on what they want to buy, and time for adequate for inspection. Addis Online Equine Auction provides a world market and frankly makes the Saddlebred market more accessible to the Arabian Horse Industry, therefore expanding the market base. I think this is a great and positive idea for the American Saddlebred.”

Bob Funkhouser, ASHA Board Member and Marketing Committee member echoes that sentiment, “James and Jackie [Hale] have always thought outside the box and this
Online Sale is just the latest example.  Besides exploring a new frontier in sales, they are providing a wonderful marketing opportunity for the American Saddlebred to find its way into markets that might not normally attend one of our public auctions."

Visit www.SouthernSaddlebredSales.com to download an entry form and find out about photo and video guidelines.  Entries are going up at www.AddisLiveOnlineAuctions.com as they are processed and will be accepted through the end of next week.  You can also visit the Addis website to watch a Bidding Tutorial and to register to bid.
