South Central Hackney Assocaition Offers Road Pony Camp Scholarship

The South Central Hackney Association is pleased to announce that once again they will be offering a scholarship to The Shamrock Farm Road Pony Camp in Smithfield, KY.  Anyone under the age of 18 and a member of SCHA is encouraged to submit an essay and a brief biography.  Scholarships will be awarded to the winner of an essay contest entitled “Why I Want to Learn More about the Hackney Breed.”  The scholarship will cover the cost of camp fees, food and lodging. Transportation to and from the camp is the responsibility of the winner.

The dates for the 2015 camp are July 5- July 11.  Applicants please submit your essay and a short autobiography, including equine experience, no later than June 19, 2015.  Applicant should send essays to:  Laura Schmidt, Sec/Treas.     Earlier today, we noticed that the server that supports the ASHBA database was experiencing a lot of activity. After a brief investigation, we discovered that certain parts of the system were being hit almost constantly and slowing down the server. This was leading to performance issues across the board. We pulled server logs and saw more than 77,000 requests for show results for this morning alone. Read More
