Show Horse Preview at Midwest Charity Horse Show



Registration details have been announced for the Show Horse Preview at the Midwest Charity Horse Show, hosted by UPHA Chapter 10 and the MidAmerica Horse Show Association. The Preview, scheduled for Monday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m. will provide a sales showcase for a select group of the finest Saddlebreds, Hackneys and Morgans on the evening prior to the opening of the Midwest Charity Horse Show. Entries selected for the presentation will be promoted via email and listings on Show Horse Marketplace prior to the Preview. Doug Shiflet has been secured as the official photographer for the evening and SeeHorse Video will be providing the videotaping so that your horse will benefit from the best tools for marketing and sales.

Seating, catered appetizers and a cash bar will be provided during the Preview evening. After the event, a live auction of art pieces designed by various equine artists will be held, with the proceeds to benefit the UPHA Pink Ribbon program.

Eligibility and Registration

$150.00 entry fee per horse ($100.00 for Mid-America/UPHA Chapter 10 members). Horses and ponies must two years of age or older, horses must be shown in appropriate work equipment, horses must be shown under saddle or in harness (no halters, lunge lines or long lines), 2% commission payable to UPHA Chapter 10 for sales directly related to preview and 30 days from the outset of the preview. If horse is not currently entered in the Midwest Charity Horse Show, then $125.00 per stall also will be incurred, with stall check made payable to Midwest Charity Horse Show.

All horses must have a current Coggins and Health Certificate, and those horses outside of Illinois must have an entry permit issued by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. There is no charge for obtaining an entry permits and they are available by calling the Illinois Department of Agriculture, 217-782-4944 and are issued 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
