Seeking Fund-Raising Auction Items for Mid-A Morgan Show

Earlier this year, the Mid-Atlantic Morgan Horse Show Committee announced that after 55 years, the show was taking a hiatus in 2012 due to financial difficulties.

The New York State Morgan Horse Society made a generous donation to help the Mid-A Show pay off their debt. Other shows and clubs have offered their support as well.

Show Committee member Suzy Lucine is working with Morgan owner and friend, Sharon Skelly of Gullwing Morgans, who is designing a website which will allow the show to have an on-line auction to help generate additional funds.

 “Auction items in the past that have generated generous bidders at the show have been weekend getaways, lesson packages, the chance to ride or drive a world champion, and gift certificates,” said Suzy. “We’re looking for items that would not need an additional shipping fee.”
