Mrs. Sara Lee Frazier Ridge, 84, of 840 Oakmont Drive, Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at her home.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, August 21, 2009, at Randolph Memorial Park with the Rev. Michael Holder officiating.
Mrs. Ridge was born in Guildford County, NC on December 17, 1924. She was a homemaker and had worked for Randolph Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and volunteered for Hospice of Randolph. She was the widow of William E. "Bill" Ridge, to whom she was married for 57 years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Draughn.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Ridge, of Winston-Salem; son, David Ridge, of the home; daughter, Debbie Shiflet and husband, Doug, of Asheboro; grandchildren, William Hemrick, Shannon Billings and husband, Josh, Christy Ramm and husband, Allen, Colin Ridge, Brad Shiflet, Daniel Shiflet, Andrew Shiflet, Kelly Clayton and husband, Jeremy, JoJo Draughn; great grandchildren, Luke Clayton, Ridge Clayton, Miriam Clayton, Sara Kelly Clayton, Noah Ramm and Brian Ramm.
The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2009, and other times at the home.
