Sally McCue Grieme Joins Dabora Staff
Monday, July 8, 2002
Christy Parson is pleased to announced the addition of Sally McCue Grieme to the Dabora team of publications. A life-long Saddlebred enthusiast, Sally will cover shows throughout the Midwest for both Horse World Magazine and Saddle Horse Report.
Along with her parents, Peter and Margaret McCue of Sherman, Ill., Sally grew up showing such stars as Valley Queen Of Color, Latin Rhythm, and Mellow Magic to name a few. She showed these horses with great success under the direction of Kim Crumpler.
After taking some time off from the horse business to enjoy family life, Sally has returned with her husband Perry and son Jacob to again take an active role. Jacob rides his new mount, Simba, under the direction of Lynda and Andy Freseth at Hollow Haven and the Grieme family keeps a few broodmares and pleasure horses at home.
Sally worked for The National Horseman several years ago under the leadership of Ray Sheffield. Her first assignment with Dabora was covering the Tanbark show for Saddle Horse Report.
“We are thrilled Sally has decided to get back into the equine publication field,” said Christy Parsons. “She brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and professionalism to our team. Sally will be handling all of the Horse World coverage from the Midwest and then will also cover shows in the area that Bob Funkhouser can’t get to.
Sally fills the position vacated by Chris Larson, who has gone on to pursue her endeavors in photography and equine assisted psychotherapy.
