Saddlebred Rescue Receives $100,000 Challenge Grant
Thursday, September 24, 2009
The E.L. and Thelma Gaylord Foundation have offered a challenge to Saddlebred Rescue – for every $4 the organization raises the Gaylord Foundation will donate a dollar up to $100,000. Mary Gaylord stated "the care of these animals is the responsibility of all of us and our family foundation wants to give everyone a reason to give now."
They look to have the horses become a part of a teaching stable or home
They believe that having a teaching stable adopt one of our rescues is a way to secure the rescue and the future of the Saddlebred breed.
They do not keep permanent residence at the rescue
They actively look for homes for all the horses
