Saddlebred Rescue Receives $100,000 Challenge Grant

The E.L. and Thelma Gaylord Foundation have offered a challenge to Saddlebred Rescue: for every $4 the organization raises, the Gaylord Foundation will donate a dollar up to $100,000. Mary Gaylord stated, "The care of these animals is the responsibility of all of us and our family foundation wants to give everyone a reason to give now."

The "Sharing and Celebrating a Rescue" campaign has a goal of raising $500,000 over the next two years. This campaign will allow Saddlebred Rescue to enhance the work that has already begun. What makes them different from other rescue organizations?

They look to have the horses become a part of a teaching stable or home. They believe having a teaching stable adopt one of their rescues is a way to secure the rescue and the future of the Saddlebred breed. They do not keep permanent residence at the rescue. They actively look for homes for all the horses

To learn more about this campaign, the naming opportunities and the giving opportunities, please call Pat Johnson at 908-304-3560 or email her at pat@saddlebredrescue.com.
