Saddle Horse Report/Morgan Weanling Gala Performance Incentive Program is Set

The inaugural class of the Saddle Horse Report/Morgan Weanling Gala Performance Incentive Program is set.  This exciting program was launched by the Morgan Weanling Gala to recognize that the get sire by Morgan Weanling Gala Nominated Sires are much more than pretty babies.

Each year, beginning with the Class of 2014, all sons and daughters of Sires nominated for the Morgan Weanling Gala in that year are eligible to be nominated for that year’s Incentive Program.

The first son or daughter from that year to win a World’s Championship in any performance division at the Morgan Grand National will win this award.  If more than one wins in that same year, the award will be split.

The Award will be $2500 available through the gracious partnership with Saddle Horse Report PLUS 100% of the Nomination Fees received for that Class Year.  The award will be paid out 75% to then-registered owner and 25% to the nominator of the sire.

Twelve two-year olds were nominated to this inaugural class and will compete this fall for their first chance to win.  Over the next few weeks we will be meeting the twelve nominees.

There are 3 nominees by Hollybrook Stage Rage and 3 nominees by SpiceOLife Present Tense GCH.  Of the 12 – 8 are colts (2 are full brothers) and 4 are fillies; 8 are bay, 2 are chestnut, 1 is brown, and 1 is black.  Five of the 12 did not show in the Morgan Weanling Gala.

We hope that you are excited as we are for October to arrive and see if one or more of the 12 win this award.
