Rockbridge Horse Show Announced



The annual Rockbridge Horse Show will be held July 25-27, 2019 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA.  All classes will be held in the Anderson Coliseum. John Warner of Upton, KY will officiate the Saddlebred &Hackney Pony sessions scheduled for 6:30 pm each evening.  Approximately 20 classes will be held each performance.

The show is registered with the American Saddlebred Horse Association and is a qualifying competition for the Kentucky State Fair and the ASHA High Point Awards.  In addition, the show is affiliated with ASAC, ASHAV, the Carolina Summer Circuit Series, and ETSA.

Hackney ponies are popular in this area and the show offers an array of classes for this division.  This year the following classes will be a part of the Southeastern Hackney Association Incentive Program with $100 added money per class – Hackney Pleasure Pony Driving Championship, Amateur Road Pony Championship, Road Pony Under Saddle Championship, Juvenile Road Pony Championship, & Open Road Pony Stake.  In addition, the Juvenile Road Pony Championship, the Road Pony Under Saddle Championship & the Hackney Pleasure Pony Under Saddle Class will be AHHS Medallion classes.

Entries close July 15, 2019. 

A full division for Walking/Racking/Spotted Saddle Horse/Rocky Mountain Horses is being offered this year.  All of these classes will be held during daytime sessions on Friday (7/26/19) & Saturday (7/27/19) with classes starting each morning at 9:00 AM.
