Rock Walker Recovering From Accident

Rock Walker, of Rock Walker Stables in Temecula, Calif., is recovering in the hospital following a car accident on April 29. While driving his car home from a doctor’s appointment, he struck a one-ton pickup truck and was rushed immediately to the hospital with severe head trauma. Rock remains in the Intensive Care Unit. Due to the accident he has lost his left eye, but doctors remain hopeful about the right eye. An eight- to 12-hour reconstructive surgery is planned for early next week, once swelling has reduced. Further surgery may be required at a later date.
Rock has responded to the doctors and answered questions with a squeeze of his hand, showing good brain function. Their prognosis is good and they are looking for a strong recovery following an extended hospital stay. We will post further information as it becomes available, including updates after the surgery.
