2014 Road Pony Camp Scholarships



The American Hackney Horse Society Foundation is once again sponsoring three road pony campers at the Shamrock Farms Road Pony Camp, June 29-July 5, 2014.  The applicant must submit an essay about either of the two topics listed below:

“What the Hackney pony has taught me”
“Why I want to learn more about the Hackney pony”

Anyone under the age of 18 may submit an essay. Please include a brief introduction about yourself with your essay and mail to:

**Entries must be received by June 20th and the three campers will be announced on June 21st. 
You may call Juliet McDonald at (864) 325-1275 for essay information, or Shamrock Farms (502) 845-2174 for camp information.  The Shamrock Farms Road Pony Camp brochure, release forms, and applications can be found at the Hackney Society website under the “youth” section.  You will also need to fill out the application and the release forms for Shamrock Farms. 

There are many other activities included in this wonderful camp including  a horse show, swimming, a talent show, treasure hunts, games and much more.  We look forward to reading your essays and Good Luck Campers!
