Report’s Polling of Judges Again Consistent With Nation’s Show Ring Panels

Editor's Note: The Judges' Choice Poll was conducted prior to the American Royal Horse Show.

The Judges’ Choice is a credible opinion poll that asked all the current AHSA Large R judges for their opinion on the best overall horses and riders in 2001 in a limited number of categories. The following are the top selections from the judges in the Saddlebred, Hackney, and Roadster divisions.

Saddle Horse Report asked the judges to base their opinions on what they saw from both in and out of the show ring throughout the entire 2001 show season. Thus, the limiting factor of a horse’s performance at one given time was eliminated.

We appreciate the time and care the judges took in making their decisions. The results are interesting and informative. Being selected as a judges’ choice is an honor.
