Reece Center Burns

The Reece Center for Handicapped Horsemen in Atlanta, Georgia burned today. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but no horses perished. While no horses were lost, all of the center’s tack and equipment was lost.

The Reece Center is a well recognized handicapped riding program. Each year the Pro-Am Horse Show benefits the Reece Center as their primary charity. Myrt Canady, treasurer of the American Saddlebred Horse Association of Georgia, is taking donations of tack and equipment (new or used) and/or money to assist in rebuilding the handicapped riding program. Canady can be reached at 2160 Wenlock Trail, Marietta, GA 30066, 770-924-8498.
