Randy Harper Undergoes Quadruple Bypass Surgery

After just having completed a very successful Lexington Junior League Horse Show with the winning entries shown from Harper Stables, trainer Randy Harper is now recuperating from quadruple bypass heart surgery earlier today, July 14th at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Last week on the Red Mile Randy and wife Denessa put Candi Aversenti in the ring twice with Azure Wish to be crowned the Amateur Five-Gaited Mares Champion and Amateur Five-Gaited Grand Champion. She and Kalarama’s Blue Mac were reserve in the Amateur Three-Gaited Championship and reserve also in the over 15.2 amateur class.
Michigan’s Striking Image was the Ladies Harness Pony Reserve Champion and Amateur Harness Pony Reserve Grand Champion with Candi Aversenti driving.
Randy and Denessa Harper guided CH Heartland Expectation to last year’s Harness Pony World’s Grand Championship and stallion/gelding world’s championship with owner Karen Frickey driving and Randy Harper drove him at Lexington to the Harness Pony Reserve Grand Championship and reserve in the open qualifier.
