The "Prime" NY Morgan Stallion Service Auction Hits A New High

Saturday, February 28, 2004, marked a new all time high total for the New York Morgan Stallion Service Auction. The move to a new location and a superior list of stallion services offered proved to be a winning combination. The Prime Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY served as the venue for the 30 stallions services sold.

The grand total was $45,300 making the average service at $1510. A much larger crowd was in attendance than at previous auctions. So many people in fact that more chairs were brought in to seat the 150+ people who showed up from several surrounding states as well as from New York. Phone bidding was very active as was bidding from the floor. Successful bidders are located from coast to coast.

The top five services sold are as follows: Mizrahi ($4300), Futurity French Command ($3500), Tug Hill Whamunition ($3000), CVH Celtic Command ($3000) and Mainframe ($2700). The Committee wishes to extend a huge "Thank You!" to the stallion owners/agents for their support as well as an equally huge "Thank You!" to all bidders who participated and a special "Congratulations!" to the 30 successful bidders. Visit www.nymorganstallions.com for details of the Sweepstakes Classes offered for all of the get sired by each of these fine stallions.

Plans are already under way for the 2005 event to include an expanded program.   Plan now to enjoy a horsey late winter weekend by joining us for our "Prime" New York Morgan Stallion Service in Saratoga.
