Peg Kelley Passes Away



Mrs. Margaret M. (McEleney) Kelley, 78, of Milford MA and formerly of Mendon MA, died Friday April 12, 2013 at the Blaire House of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Frederic J. Kelley Jr. Mrs. Kelley was born in Everett MA, the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Margaret (Hurley) McEleney. She was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School, Class of 1952.

Mrs. Kelley was employed as a young woman as an office manager at the former New England Telephone Company. She later assisted her husband in the establishment and operation of numerous family businesses over the years, including Kelley & Ryan Associates. She also assisted her husband in the running of Kelley Green Acres, an award winning Morgan Horse Farm, located in Mendon MA. She and her husband were elected into the New England Morgan Horse Association Hall of Fame this past July, after thirty-two years of devotion to the breed. Mrs. Kelley was an active member of the former St. Michael's Church Catholic Women's Club and presently an active member of St. Gabrielle the Archangel Catholic Women's Club. Mrs. Kelley is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-two years; her 4 Children: Maggie Hood of Mendon MA, Erin M., wife of Laurence Sabean of Mendon MA, Dr. Frederic Kelley III and his wife Michelle of Portsmouth RI and Daniel P. Kelley and his wife Leslie of Sutton MA; her 9 Grandchildren; also 2 Sisters: Ann Marie MacKay of Bangor ME and Barbara Barnes of Woburn MA; also many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to The St. Gabrielle the Archangel Church Building Fund, 151 Mendon Street, Upton MA 01568.
