Open Barn at Ledyard Farms

Ledyard Farms in Kings Ferry, NY, invites all friends to celebrate the Morgan Horse, New York style, starting with an open barn on Tuesday, September 11th. Visitors will be welcomed by owner William Haines, who is proud to offer a presentation featuring 17 Ledyard-bred weanlings and yearlings. After the show of future stars, a cook out will be held, with a menu featuring farm-bred Scottish Highland cows and Jacob Sheep. Served hot from the grill, these tasty entrees will be accompanied by local Finger Lake wines.

As a special incentive for those attending the New York Regional Championship Morgan Horse Show in Syracuse, a courtesy bus will leave the fairgrounds around 4:30 PM. Plans are to have you back to the fairgrounds by 9 PM, so you can make any final preparations for the start of the show on Wednesday morning.

If you want to drive in your own vehicle, the farm is about an hour from the fairgrounds. Directions to the farm will be posted in the near future on the farm’s website, www.ledyardfarms.com.

To help us get an approximate number for dinner, please make reservations with Rebecca Cooper, [email protected].

Everyone at Ledyard Farms hopes that you can join them as they celebrate the Morgan Horse, New York style, on September 11th in King Ferry.
