Old Orchard Records Six Sales

Sandy and Calvin Sessink's Old Orchard Farm in South Lyon, Michigan has recorded six recent sales. Headlining the transactions is the sale of Reserve World Champion Cyderbay Sassafras to Margaret Van Meter. The exciting chestnut mare was formerly owned by Ann Maile and Karen Strickland who have shown her to many titles in the Pleasure Driving and English Pleasure divisions under the Old Orchard banner. John and Belle Hufferd of Triumph Stables acted as agents for Mrs. Van Meter and will assume the training duties of Cyderbay Sassafras.

Jan Evans has added the multi-titled gelding CSH Corydon's Eclipse to her winning show string. The fronty, bay gelding was formerly owned by the Hoernschemeyer family under the direction of Old Orchard Farm. Evans will compete with him in the Classic Pleasure division under the direction of trainer/agent Tim Roesink of Grove Pointe Stables.

Mike and Claudia Grimes have purchased a pair of winning geldings in Marshfire Major Moves and Merriehill Rhythm Nation. Major Moves is a fronty English Pleasure gelding purchased from Logan and Gina Hyatt, while Rhythm Nation is a hunter pleasure entry formerly owned by Kritina Ahearn. Old Orchard served as agent for all parties in these sales.

The pretty, bay Sweeney's Evening Star was selected by Alicia Van Sickle from breeders Dr. and Mrs. Howard Sweeney. The winning pleasure mare will continue under the direction of Sessinks, agents for both parties.

The World Champion equitation gelding Sweeney's Midnight Son has been purchased by Dr. Christy Walter from former owner and rider Roxy Rogers. The winning gelding will continue under the Old Orchard banner with Sessinks acting as agents for both parties.
