Posted April 23, 2002
The Old Dominion Morgan Horse Association (ODMHA) is sponsoring a training clinic with Mike Goebig of Broadmoor in Kutztown, PA. Goebig will present a day-long clinic on starting and training the young horse. The clinic will be hosted by Rhoda Hoenmans of Whitemud Crossing Farm in Castleton, Virginia on June 1, 2002 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

In addition to training many World and National champions, Goebig serves as president of the Mid-Atlantic Morgan Horse Club as well as a member of the Mid-Atlantic Morgan Horse Show Committee. He is a past chairman and founding member of the AMHA Professional Horsemens Committee, and an AMHA Director from Region 2.

In the morning, Goebig will give demonstrations on starting and training young horses, which will be followed by a lunch break. (Lunch is available with reservations at $7.00 per person.) Following the break, he will give group lessons to clinic attendees and their horses. There will be approximately three horses in a group, and stabling is available.

Group lessons, with horses, are $25 for ODMHA members and $28 for non-members. Auditing rates are $15 for ODMHA adult members, $20 for adult non-members, $8 for ODMHA junior (18 & under) members and $10 for junior non-members.

Reservations should be made by May 23, 2002 with Josie Thomas, 540-347-7929 or email: [email protected]. Contact Marci Cesanek, with questions, at 540-347-5230.
