Old Dominion Benefit Show Just Days Away

The Old Dominion Futurity Benefit Horse Show is only a few days away! Thursday night’s classes include performance classes in five-gaited, three-gaited, Park, and Pleasure for the professional and the amateur alike. Stake classes will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Friday’s afternoon lineup also includes four new classes; three three-year-old training classes in Park Pleasure, three-gaited and five-gaited; and a three-year-old fine harness class. Friday evening’s classes begin at 6 p.m. and include a full complement of Academy classes for the junior exhibitors. Don’t miss out on the fun!

The show has decided that because the Academy classes have moved to Friday evening, they are going to cancel class 35, the Pro/Am English Pleasure class for this year. The class will return to the lineup next year, as it is great fun for everyone. You can download the revised class list at www.olddominionfuturityhorseshow.com.

Horses may arrive beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, and must depart by midnight on Friday, April 4. If other arrangements need to be made, please contact Carolyn Folkers at (434) 386-4350. Please be advised that there may be an additional charge for early arrival/late departure.

If you would like to e-mail your entries early, please send them to jburks@centralva.net. Your entries will be processed and your packet ready on check-in day. All you’ll need to do is write a check. If you aren’t sure of your entries, but know how many stalls you’ll need, please e-mail this information as soon as possible, so that the Horse Center can have a stall assignment chart.

The show is still looking for class sponsors for the show. All $100 class sponsors will have their name announced during the class and will be recognized with their name on a banner displayed around the show ring during the show.
