Obituary – Tom Stone

The American Saddlebred community mourns the passing of noted trainer Tom Stone. He was best known for winning the 1975 World’s Grand Champion Fine Harness title with a stallion named Ronald Reagan. While gifted, the white-faced horse was known for not being easy.

Stone also spent time at the helm of Callaway Hills in Jefferson City, Missouri, where he worked such stars as Callaway’s New Look and Will’s Tribune.

Our condolences to his widow Judy Stone and his many friends. A tribute will run in an upcoming issue of Saddle Horse Report.
