Obituary -- Patricia Marie Hadley Clark

Patricia 'Patty' Marie Hadley Clark, 69, of Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter Nov. 16, 2003. She was born August 11, 1934, in Oklahoma City to George Monroe and Marie Helen (Welter) Hadley.

Clark was a well-known horse trainer, instructor and judge. A realtor for a time, her true passion was horses. Through the years Clark saw many of her students continue on to become champions of their own. Until her illness, she helped her brother maintain HadWel Stables. Her proudest moment came in 2000 when she was awarded the Horseman's award for a lifetime of dedication to the horse industry.

Clark was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Salley Hadley of Oklahoma City, daughter, Shelly Clark of Oklahoma City, son, Steve Clark of Tulsa, Okla., a great number of friends and her pride and joy, pug 'Bridget.'

Donations may be made in Clark's memory to Carter Healthcare and Hospice, 4301 Will Rogers Parkway #100, Oklahoma City, OK 73108. The family wishes to express its appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of Mercy Hospital and Carter Healthcare and Hospice for their superior care and kindness.
