Obituary – Marilyn Fields Macfarlane

Walnut Way Farm’s owner and trainer Marilyn Fields Macfarlane lost her battle with cancer on August 24, 2020.
The UPHA Helen K. Crabtree Hall of Fame recipient, Macfarlane was a class act both in and out of the show ring. She is known for many riders including Rachel Vetter, Erin Rudder, and Susi Rambler Day among others, as well as training and showing her beloved Shining Brightly to many roadster world’s championship titles.
Over the years, the history making horsewoman has guided many with her wisdom as an instructor, on various boards and panels and as a mentor. She will be missed by all that knew her.
