Obituary - Donald S. Stubbs

Donald Scarborough Stubbs, 96, of Street, Maryland and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Fla., died March 8, 2003. His wife Mabel Snodgrass Stubbs died August 6, 2000. A graduate of Highland High School, he attended the University of Maryland. They were life members of Highland Presbyterian Church and attended Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. They owned and operated canning produce plants in Maryland and Florida.
He and his wife were ardent lovers of Morgan horses which they raised and showed for many years at shows from Florida. to Massachusetts under the prefix DAF, for Donable Farms. He courted Mabel in his run-about hitched to his Morgan mare in the 1920s. They were members of AMHA and the Mid-Atlantic Morgan Horse Club which they supported for many years.
