Obituary – Mike Roberts

Missouri and American Saddlebred legend Mike Roberts passed away today, leaving a void that won’t be filled. Following in the footsteps of another famous Missourian, Art Simmons, Roberts was the consummate salesman in addition to having a computer mind for bloodlines and show records. His Mike Roberts Stables in Columbia, Missouri has been home to world-class American Saddlebreds and Hackneys for decades.

Besides showing and selling hundreds of stars for clients over the years he was a mentor to many, many young horsemen and women.

Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Fredricktown, Missouri. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., with burial in Catholic Cemetery. Lunch will follow at the Catholic School Auditorium.
