The original owner of Hollow Haven Farm when it was located in Minnesota, Keith Bartz passed away today (January 27) at the age of 84. In addition to being a respected horseman, Bartz was a longtime industry leader, serving the USEF and the American Saddlebred Museum in several capacities.

Bartz was a former Director of the American Saddlebred Museum and he over saw the building of the current Museum. At USEF he was the Treasurer for several years and he was a longtime member of the American Saddlebred Committee and Budget and Finance Committee.

Quite the character, Bartz is pictured here with his wife Carol after they won runner-up at a Halloween Costume contest. He is survived by Carol, children Cary and Steve and grandchildren.

Saddle Horse Report will update this as soon as arrangements are known.
