Nominations Now Being Accepted for "Beautiful Horses of Michigan" Project

Equine artist Karen Brenner is seeking nominations for her newest series of paintings, "Beautiful Horses of Michigan." Brenner hopes to include a wide variety of breeds and colors in the project. Horses will be selected based on the description provided when nominating a horse. This will be the third in Karen's "Beautiful Horses" series. The "Beautiful Horses of Ohio" and "Beautiful Horses of Texas" series were completed in 2006 and 2007. They can be viewed on her website www.karenbrenner.com.

The "Beautiful Horses of Michigan" series will include a painting of each selected horse. As each painting is completed it will be posted in a special section of Brenner's website along with a short story about the horse. When the series is completed, a "Beautiful Horses of Michigan" exhibit will showcase all the paintings. The artist retains ownership of the paintings.

To enter "Beautiful Horses of Michigan" complete the online form at www.karenbrenner.com, or send the following information to Karen Brenner: the horse's name, breed, age, color, gender, description of why this horse should be included in the project (300 words or less). Please also include the owner's name, (if owner is under 18 years old, please list parent's name), address, email, and phone. If the horse is kept at a different address than the owner, include the address where horse resides. Include the nominator's name and contact information (if different than owner). Mail this information to: Karen Brenner, 3613 Triway Lane, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Entries must be received by March 30, 2008. Owners of selected horses will be notified by April 15, 2008.

Brenner paints exclusively from photos she personally takes. She will travel throughout Michigan the last week of June 2008 to photograph selected horses. Horses will need to be available that week for photos.
