News Release - Adult Walk And Trot Pleasure Classes In Iowa

The Iowa American Saddlebred Association will be sponsoring Adult Walk / Trot Pleasure classes at four Iowa horse shows in 2014. The new classes will be held at the IASA Schooling Show in March, Great River Benefit in May, Mid-States Horse and Pony Show in July, and the IA Fall Classic in September. The goal of these new classes is to provide an increased opportunity for adult riders to participate in horse shows and expand the market for American Saddlebreds, Morgans and other show horse breeds. The classes will be a part of the Open English Pleasure Division. Show bridles are optional. The horse shown must be owned or leased by the exhibitor and the rider may not show in any walk-trot-canter class in the same show. If the classes are well
received, the IASA hopes to expand the Walk and Trot Pleasure division to include western and
hunter classes in the future.
