New York Morgan Stallion Service Auction

Plans are progressing well for the 2005 NY Morgan Stallion Service Auction to be held on February 5th at the Prime Hotel/Conference Center in historic Saratoga Springs, NY. In addition to the auction of services to some of the finest stallions the breed has to offer nationwide, a forum on Breeding, Raising and Preparation of the Weanling for Sweepstakes and/or Futurity Classes will be held. Panelists committed to date are well-known trainer/showman Richard Boule of Taylor River Farm in New Hampshire, successful breeder Steve Smith of Ultra Morgans in Ohio, and Steve Davis of UVM Morgan Farm. Yet another new face at the NY Stallion Service Auction will be veteran horseman and auctioneer John Bennett of Putnam, Connecticut. John will have gavel firmly in hand as he takes the bids on our superior list of stallions. Please regularly check our website – www.nymorganstallions.com – for updates on the stallion information and additions to the panel discussion. Hotel reservation, time schedule, phone in bid numbers and catalog request information is found on the site as well. The Committee and the NYS Morgan Horse Society are excited about the second year at this new location for the long established event. Last years auction scored a record attendance as well as a record total – over $40,000. The Committee has been working hard to topple both records again in 2005.
