Friday, June 24, 2005
The Kanawha Valley Horseman's Association announces that the new Patricia Crane sculpture, "Supreme Sultan," will be introduced to the horse world at the 4th Annual Summer Challenge of Champions Charity Horse Show, August 5 & 6, 2005. This magnificent piece, based on the artist's life-size Sultan bronze at the Horse Park in Lexington, KY was two years in the planning stages. “Sultan” will be awarded to 25 class winners at this year's show. The remaining 14 classes will also be receiving an impressive array of trophies.
The selection of Supreme Sultan as the highlight of the awards ceremony at ring center was an easy decision according to KVHA Vice President Jay McCreery. "We've used Ms. Crane's sculptures for the past two years. In fact, we also debuted her new piece, "Nocturne", at last year's show. The exhibitors love her work. These trophies don't get stuck away in a closet somewhere. They are exquisite pieces of art".
Patricia Crane fans desiring a first look at her newest addition to an already impressive body of work need to plan a trip to Winfield, WV on August 5 & 6 for the Summer Challenge of Champions Charity Horse Show.
