NEMHS and Nava Sign Extended Contract

The New England Morgan Horse Show Committee is very pleased to announce that it has entered into an extended contract with Fred Nava to manage the show through 2009. The contract, which includes a provision for a five-year extension beyond the 2009 show, was ratified unanimously by the New England Morgan Horse Association Board of Directors at its most recent meeting.

NEHMS Chairperson Molly O’Brien said, “The Show Committee fully recognizes and appreciates the tremendous impact Fred has had on the show during his tenure as manager. It is almost impossible to imagine anyone else doing the job that Fred does for us. This extended contract is both a show of confidence in Fred’s ability, and our way of being sure he stays with New England as long as possible.”

Helen Herold, NEMHA President, echoed O’Brien’s sentiments.  “The Board of Directors was in complete agreement with the Show Committee’s proposal of an extended contract. Historically we have contracted with Fred for two years at a time. However, we felt it was very important to enter into a long-term agreement to help ensure the continued growth and stability of the show.”

The 2006 New England Morgan Horse Show will be held Sunday, July 23 – Saturday, July 29 at the Three County Fairgrounds in Northampton, MA. For more information, please contact Fred Nava, Show Manager, PO Box 188, Kingston, MA 02364, phone (781) 585-9006, e-mail nemorganhs@aol.com.
