Morgan Weanling Gala - The Foals are Going to Shine

On the evening of September 2, the foals of the Morgan Weanling Gala will take center stage for the 8th Annual Morgan Weanling Gala. The class will again be held in the Historic Coliseum at the Illinois State Fairgrounds during the Jubilee Regional Morgan Horse Show.

All foals by the following stallions are eligible to compete in this year’s event: Astronomicallee, CBMF Hitting The Streets, Cedarcrest Valentino, Cingate Revelation, Graycliff Tony, Merriehill After Hours, Minion Millennium, Pondview Tres Bien, Spice O’Life Present Tense, The Ignitor, TSL Starcraft, and Tug Hill Commando.

We appreciate all of the nominators present and past for their continued support of the Gala and the future of the Morgan Horse. Since the first Gala in 2009, over $250,000 in cash and prizes have been awarded to 70 weanlings sired by 20 different stallions. Proof that it pays to show up and show in so many ways.

The first Performance Incentive winner may also be crowned at this year’s Grand National as the class of 2014 foals kick off our new program sponsored by Dabora, Inc. $2,500 in incentive money will be paid to any Gala eligible and nominated foal that wins a World Championship as a Two Year Old. Eleven Two Year Olds are nominated and taking advantage of the extra payout.

Entry forms and a complete list of rules can be found inside the Jubilee Prize list that can be found online at www.jubileemorganhorseshow.com. All Gala entries should be made on the official Jubilee entry form. The entry fee is $250 for foals entered between now and August 15th. After August 15th, the entry fee increases to $500 so it is advantageous to get your entries in on time.

Stallions are still invited to participate in the 2016 Gala. Nominations will be accepted until August 15th. The class offers the largest money earning potential for Morgan weanlings, and showing is a beautiful way to promote offspring, win prize money and awards and the enjoyment of good spirited competition.
