Morgan Weanling Gala Extends 2010 Deadline

Perrysburg, Ohio – The committee of the Morgan Weanling Gala has extended the deadline to nominate their Morgan stallions for the 2010 Gala to be held at the New England Morgan Regional. In an effort to raise more prize money, the deadline is now March 1, 2009 to nominate stallions for the following year’s competition. All offspring of nominated stallions this season will be eligible to compete their weanling year at one of the largest and most prestigious Morgan horse shows in the country. "The arena is packed with spectators every year at New England and the show is the perfect place to showcase stallions and their offspring. There is also great selling potential for foals exhibited at New England, Chairman Larry Bolen stated. "We don’t want anyone to be left out so we have extended the deadline."

The Gala has already contracted over the minimum number of stallions needed to hold the event but is encouraging more owners to become involved and promote the young stars of the breed. Stallions already committed to the 2010 class are: Astronomicallee, Beethoven, Bellerophon, Bocelli, Born To Boogie, Cartier, Centerpiece, Century Nightmusic, Dragonsmeade Axios, Dragonsmeade Icon, Fifth Avenue Flaire, Hollybrook Stage Rage, JW That Special Flaire, Man In Motion, Minion Millennium, Stonecroft Trilogy, Tara's Firewalker, and Town Assets.

Bolen stated, "We are thrilled to have many returning stallions and are excited about several new names to the list. We appreciate their owners and their dedication to the breeding industry, and returning stallion owners are given a discount for renewing their contracts each year."

If you are interested in taking advantage of the extended deadline, please direct your contract request to Larry Bolen at CedrCreek@aol.com or Paulette Bodnar at Hooligan@mc.net or visit the web site www.morganweanlinggala.com.
