Morgan Weanling Gala Anticipates Beautiful Entries

Perrysburg, Ohio –  “We are very excited to see all of the beautiful Morgan foal pictures that have been posted this year, and we are anticipating a spectacular turnout for the Third Annual Morgan Weanling Gala in Springfield, Illinois on the evening of September 1st. We are expecting to award $50,000 in prize money and several more thousand in gifts and prizes donated by our corporate sponsors and many other supportive vendors;” Chairman Larry Bolen said.

There is still time to enter. Eligible to compete in this year’s event are all 2011 foals sired by the following stallions: Astronomicallee, Beethoven, Bellerophon, Cartier, Centerpiece, Cherished Assets, Dragonsmeade Axios, Dragonsmeade Icon, Favorite Son, JW That Special Flaire, Man In Motion, Mastroianni, MEM The Patriot, Minion Millennium, Mizrahi, Roberto Cavalli, RWJ Commanding Topic, SYP High Definition, Tara's Firewalker, Town Assets, and Whispering War Chant.

For more information about competing in the Gala, contact Fred Nava, Manager of the Jubilee Regional Horse Show or visit their website, www.jubileemorganhorseshow.com. Judging this year’s event will be Jay Wood, Richard Boule and Luman Wadhams. “The last time the Gala was held at the Jubilee, we had a great turnout and our first Gala champion was crowned. We are looking forward to another great competition, and opportunity to award our breed’s best.” Bolen said.

While this year’s babies are being prepared, stallion owners are also nominating for the 2012 competition also to be held during the Jubilee Regional. To date, all foals by the following stallions will be eligible: Astronomicallee, Beethoven, Benediction, Dragonsmeade Axios, Dragonsmeade Icon, Favorite Son, JW That Special Flaire, Mastroianni, Minion Millennium, SYP High Definition, and Whispering War Chant. “We need more nominated stallions to make the event a success, and there is still time to nominate,” Bolen encouraged.
