Moore Named Top 10 Finalist In Over 40 Model Search

Melissa Moore, 43, of Sunrise Stables in
Versailles, Ky., recently competed in the seventh annual More Magazine Over 40 Model Search which was held in conjunction with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency, one of the world’s foremost modeling agencies.

Moore was selected as a top 10 finalist from more than 16,000 contestants. Each of the finalists appeared on the nationally syndicated Rachel Ray Show, Feb. 19 in New York City. Moore then traveled back to New York to compete in the model search Feb. 25-27.

“This was an amazing experience,” said Moore, whose close friend and fellow equestrienne Cathy Coniglio urged her to send in her photo for the contest.

Contestants also submitted a bio about what it means to be a woman over 40.

The competition included interviews with the judges, rehearsals and even a high fashion show which featured the designs of Carmen Marc Valvo. The fashion show was hosted by actress Angela Basset and was held at
Cipriani 42nd Street, one of New York’s premier venues for special events.

Moore went on to say, “The longer I was with the finalists, the more I realized what amazing women they are. This was so much fun and it is hard to put into words what it meant to be part of it. We worked very hard and it was exhausting but it was just wonderful to be involved with all these incredible women.”

The model search and all 10 finalists will be featured in the June issue of More Magazine.
