Mike Barlow of Buffalo Creek Farm in Tennessee is recovering well from surgery performed at the Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers, GA.

Barlow was injured in a horse-related accident the week following Louisville. While attending the Southeastern Charity Horse Show, he developed complications and an infection in his upper leg at the location of the original injury. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday evening, September 27 and underwent surgery to clean out the infection the following Monday. Doctors believe the surgery was successful and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Barlow will undergo a minor procedure on Thursday, October 2, to place a stint in an artery in his other leg to improve circulation, but this is not thought to be related to the injury.
