Midwest Charity Horse Show Announces Judging Panel For 2006 Show



 

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Midwest Charity Horse Show, June 13-17, 2006, announces its panel of officials for its 65th show. The panel includes Ellen Beard, Nancy Becker, Jimmy Robertson and Bonnie Sogoloff. Judy Kjellander, Midwest Charity Horse Show president this year will also assume the position of show manager; Paul Briney was elected show chairman emeritus. Peter Fenton has accepted the position of ring announcer.

 

Midwest's board of directors is also pleased to announce that it has been honored with the UPHA Chapter 10 Honor Show of the Year for 2005 and the USEF has designated Midwest's 2006 show as a Triple Points Competition for the Roadster and Hackney/Harness Pony Divisions. The Midwest Charity Horse Show is held at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Coliseum and runs five days with class sessions at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.

 

As tradition dictates, the Midwest Charity Horse Show will delight and entertain exhibitors with their legendary hospitality with nightly parties, Tuesday-Friday nights, after the last class in the famous “Party Barn.”

 

Since 1988 the Midwest Charity Horse Show, an all-volunteer organization, has donated its annual proceeds to Camp COCO creating an endowment fund with Midwest's contribution exceeding $124,000. Thanks to the generous show, class and party sponsors Midwest was able to donate $8,000 to Camp COCO from the 2005 show.
